This Side of the Rainbow Services
We provide a therapeutic summer camp for LGBTQ+ youth; monthly groups for LGBTQ+ youth and their parents/guardians; and educational programs on working with the LGBTQ+ community for mental health professionals, schools, churches; corporations, and other community organizations.
This Side of the Rainbow loves our summer camp and we want to offer an adjusted 2020 summer program for our LGBTQ+ campers! This summer we will meet for the five Thursday in July, online, and still enjoy community time and activities that will enrich our campers’ lives. Rainbow Campers and counselors will meet from 12:00pm until 1:30pm every Thursday starting July 2. 2020.
We are so excited to offer this virtual opportunity to gather, share ideas, discuss various topics, and explore activities that will allow for personal expression and self-discovery over the 5 week summer camp.
This Side of the Rainbow designates a Saturday in every month to try to gather teens for a group meeting. Schedules vary during the school year. When we can get together, we gather for 2 hours and utilize the time for discussion, group activity, and community time.
Join This Side of the Rainbow for some post-holiday fun at Winter Camp for the day. We have visited a local museum, lunch, art project, and an outdoor activity that all can enjoy.
The day includes thoughtful discussions amongst the campers and counselors. Parents/guardians can join us for a parent group discussion for the last hour of camp - dividing the time being with the campers and then parents/guardians meet with one of our counselors. Space is limited. Scholarships available!
Our group of mental health professionals are available for consultations or presentations with other mental health professionals, health care groups, schools, churches, community organizations, corporate groups--anyone who is interested in making things better now for members of the LGBTQ+ community.
