Michael DeVoll is licensed by the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S #19857) and works in private practice, with over 10 years prior experience counseling in a private school. He earned a BFA in Photography/Video (1990) and an M.Ed. in Educational Psychology/Counseling (2002), both from the University of Houston. He is a past Trustee for State Divisions/Membership of the Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Issues in Counseling (ALGBTIC), a division of the American Counseling Association and a past trustee of the Texas Association of LGBT Issues in Counseling (TALGBTIC), a division of the Texas Counseling Association and a state branch of ALGBTIC. He currently serves as Region 1 Director of TCA, representing the six chapters in southeast Texas. He has over 20 years experience working with LGBTQ youth and adults in a range of community and clinical settings. Michael was awarded the Professional Counselor of the Year by the Houston Counseling Association in May 2018, and the Dr. Jamesanna Kirven Outstanding Counselor Award by TCA in November 2018.
Jeanie Low, LCSW is licensed clinical social worker and supervisor. She is a service-oriented counselor with nine years of private practice experience who provides therapeutic assistance for individuals, families, couples, and groups in a compassionate and knowledgeable environment. She is adept in assisting a diverse clientele from blended families, veterans, transitioning youth, elderly, those struggling with addiction, LGBT individuals, children, and adolescents. Her therapeutic approach of Compassionate Care, Creative Change, and Innovative Options is tailored for each client. She is also an experienced therapeutic summer camp director. For the last seven years she has lead youth therapeutic summer camp programs building community and connection. Recently she presented internationally in Bangladesh and Malaysia on the use of experiential and expressive art modalities in counseling. She is a pursuing her certification in Psychodrama and continues to incorporate this experiential technique into her clinical practice.
Michael Lesher is a a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Education in Art Education (2005) from the University of Toledo and a Masters of Education in Counselor Education (2011) from the University of St. Thomas. Michael has over 12 years of experience working with youth in the greater Houston area from founding an after school program at Hambrick Middle School in Aldine ISD to sponsoring the Gay Straight Alliance at MacArthur High School. He is also an active member of the Houston Frontrunners LGBT running club. Michael strives to strengthen self-esteem of Houston’s youth from the foundation up and is excited to be working on the “This Side of the Rainbow” project.
Amy Gready has worked in education for the last twenty years. She recently earned her M.Ed. from Our Lady of the Lake University and received her LPC-Intern license to assist individuals further, after numerous fulfilling years as an advisor and teacher in education. For the last 3 years, Amy has assisted counselors working with LGBTQ teens attending This Side of the Rainbow summer camp and monthly meetings. When not working in some capacity as a counselor, Amy can be found hiking with her Vizsla, or in a body of water flyfishing.
